Hi and welcome to J&T weekly adventures!

We are so glad you are here and hope you enjoy this one. These are the adventures we had this week and try and see the fun in everything.

Many of you know Tuesday was Halloween and we celebrated by us setting up a new bank account since we don’t have one in El Paso, Jaz getting groceries, and Theo playing ultimate frisbee. It had to have been our least fun halloween ever. In all fairness we did celebrate and dress up for Halloween the Saturday before, for our Church’s Trunk-or-Treat.

To tell you the truth this is the same outfit that we have worn twice now but we haven’t convinced ourselves to go and buy new ones or can never find ones that we like. We dressed up as explorers on a safari but if you took Theo’s hat off he looked like he normally does.

Since we have been on a sugar free diet and we are trying to reduce waste we had some leftover sparklers from years past, so we handed out sparklers this year instead of candy. We think it actually was more successful than candy because the kids kept coming back for more, the bad news is we ran out very fast! The good news the children said it was the best thing they got, some had never had sparklers before!! We think experiences are worth more than things or treats.

The Friday and Saturday before Halloween we also started and watched all of Stranger Things 2 in 24 hours. Guys it is amazing!

We had some friends over for dinner on Wednesday and we made Papas Bravas for the first time and it did not disappoint. Our friends even put them with the squash patties we made because it was all so good.

Thursday we went with a group of friends to an escape room. We went to Operation Outbreak in El Paso. Theo was very into it and loved solving the puzzles. We will defiantly be doing other escape rooms in the future!

Friday for date night we went to go see Thor Ragnarok on opening night and it has been our favorite Marvel movie so far. Theo has gone around talking like one of the characters called Korg, played by the director Taika Waititi! Now we think if we go to New Zealand Theo will try and have that same accent like when we went to England and spoke only in a British accent.

Saturday we helped clean the church. And we debated about going to see Thor again. We also received some new lenses and a flash that we ordered. As you can expect we are very excited about them! Of course Jaz made Theo stand outside while she tested the lenses out. Here we come future weddings!

Sunday we went to church and successfully made Sussex Pond pudding gluten and sugar free which is very hard to do. We heard about it on the Great British Baking show through Merry Berry. The cons to it are that baking it takes about 3 or more hours!

Go a head and leave a comment what you were for Halloween, we would love to know! If you liked this post you can share it on Pinterest or Facebook! We love sharing!
