After they did such a good job of being cute for their engagement photos we couldn’t wait for wedding photos. We were excited to take these photos but we were even more excited to see Briana in her wedding dress! It is so stunning and she looked gorgeous in it. We were driving to the Lower Salt River to take these photos. We pulled off to the side to chat with their car, as Jaz looked out of the back window just about 2 minutes from where we had just drove she saw a small smoke trail and told everyone. We thought it was just a campfire or a car so we drove on. What we didn’t know is that it turned out to grow and was a desert fire! To make matters worse it was very windy, we are talking 25mph wind that made this wildfire double and triple in no time. We didn’t get any photos of the fire or smoke because within 10 minutes of finding and taking the photos at the first location a police officer came and made everyone evacuate! The people swimming in the river were not happy their day of fun was being cut short but we are glad he came and told us or else we would have found out when the fire got to us.

So we packed up and sweet Zack picked up his beautiful bride and carried her to the car! Because lets face it you can’t go very far fast in a wedding dress and we were in a hurry. Zack to the rescue! We got in our cars  and drove a ways to where we weren’t being escorted out and took the rest of the photos at that location. We are so glad that someone was able to call and notify the right people so that us and many others were able to get out of there safely and without any panic. You can see a bit of smoke in some of the photos in the sky. Briana and Zack were super happy and a wildfire didn’t dampen their spirits. They were just so happy to be with each other and to be getting married soon. Sorry you two had such an interesting session but it will be something to remember and tell for generations.
